Bride And Prejudice (2004)
Lalita Bakshi (Aishwarya Rai) is a strong-willed yet sensible young woman from a traditional family with three sisters, a long-suffering but loving father and a mother anxious to marry them to wealthy young gentlemen.
A sensational mix of wicked comedy, vibrant colours, fantastic musical numbers and stunning dance routines.

Bride & Prejudice is funny. It just makes you laugh because it's silly, amusing, full of very pretty people (boys & girls) and a good yarn. A classic tale of course - Jane Austen with a twist. There are several elements I loved about this film - the first was having Wickham walking out the water rather than Darcy - those who saw the BBC Pride & Prejudice with Colin Firth will know what I mean! Another element was the colours used. Such saturated beautiful colours all the way through made for a great overall look. I did keep thinking of Aishwwarya Rai in the mascara advert, but maybe thats just me... I would recommened this film if you are in a bad mood and need cheering up or if its really raining and grey outside, the colours will lift your spirit. You know how it's going to end - but that doesn't matter, it's getting there!
