Explosive action thriller
Set in Paris in the very near future, where an area of the city has been walled off for the safety of the rest of Paris' citizens. The area, known as District 13, has been devastated by crime and looks like a war zone. The film starts with a breathtaking free running sequence, involving the good guy, Leito, and with a raid carried out by an undercover cop. These 2 team up to rescue Leito's kidnapped sister and to recover a nuclear missile that was stolen by a gang warlord. It is an excellent film with some clear social issues, including poverty, who crime is dealt with and what should happen to dodgy city councillors. Make sure you watch it with the subtitles as the dubbing is absolutely dire!
