Prince Amerigo (Jeremy Northam - Enigma), an Italian Aristocrat, is married to Maggie (Kate Beckinsale - Pearl Harbour), the daughter of an American tycoon. Previously he had been having an affair with his true love Charlotte (Uma Thurman - Pulp Fiction). Charlotte later marries Adam (Nick Nolte - The Thin Red Line), Maggie`s father, and the lives of the four become mixed up in one family.
