Interesting portrayal of the life of American modern artist Jackson Pollock
An interesting and thought provoking biography of artist Jackson Pollock. The film starts while Pollock is living in New York in the early 1940's with fellow artist Lee Krasner. He is mentally and emotionally unstable but Krasner is touched by the brilliance of his work. The couple marry and move upstate where Pollock continues his work in the barn of their country house. Krasner devotes her life to prromoting his career, helping to make him one of the most famous American painters of the modern art movement. Ultimately, Pollock cannot cope with the fame and the fickle world of art and goes on a self-destruct course. This is an interesting film with superb performances from the entire cast. Harris is brilliant in front of the camera as Pollock and behind it too.
