Friends for films is a referral programme that gives you an opportunity to enjoy renting films for FREE, month-on-month.

Cinema Paradiso provides you with an opportunity to earn your membership fee by introducing your friends to the service. Each friend that subscribes to our service and becomes a full paying member will earn you 1/6 of your monthly membership fee each month their membership is successfully renewed.
So 6 friends = free membership.

How does it work?

As a member of Cinema Paradiso DVD rental service, you send invitations to your friends to sign up to our DVD rental service. Each friend will receive a free VIP trial pass including the first 5 DVD rentals to try our service. If your friend becomes a full paying member we will credit your Cinema Paradiso account with 1/6 off the cost of your current membership level. And so on. Each month that your friend stays with us we will credit your Cinema Paradiso account with 1/6th of your membership fee. The credit will be used towards your membership payment.

Which membership level?

Your friends can subscribe to any membership level they wish and as long as they remain full paying member, we will waive 1/6 of your membership fee for each friend you recommend. Your membership level, however, can be any level that allows you to receive up to 3 DVDs at the time. If you are subscribed to any of our special membership levels which allows you to receive more than 3 DVDs at the time and unlimited monthly rentals we will base our calculations on the cost of 3 DVDs at a time and unlimited monthly rentals which currently cost £14.99.

What will happen if I change membership level?

When crediting your Cinema Paradiso account, we will work out what is 1/6th of your current membership fee and will then credit this amount to your Cinema Paradiso account. If you subsequently change your membership to a different level, we will base our calculations on the new level and as explained above.

So what is the catch?

There is no catch. As long as your friends remain full paying members of Cinema Paradiso you will enjoy your earnings.

» How can I monitor the progress

You can see report for each email sent, response from your friend and the current status under Friends Activity page. On this page you can re-send emails for friends that have not subscribed. To actually see your credits you can check your Cinema Paradiso Account

» What happens if I refer more then 6 friends?

For each friend you introduce 1/6 of the cost of your membership will be credited to your Cinema Paradiso account. So if you introduce more then 6 friends your account will be in credit and you can use this credit to purchase gift subscription or buy DVDs on our website.

» What happens if my friend cancels?

If your friend cancels their membership, the crediting to your account from the friend in question will stop.

» I’ve sent VIP Passes with your previous scheme. What will happen now?

For the VIP passes that you have alrady sent, only the friends that have subscribed and your account was credited will not be part of the shceme. All ohter VIP passes sent automaticlaly be includeed in the new scheme.
