Top 8 New DVD Releases UK List

The UK has seen a whole host of exciting new movies on DVD at the beginning of the year and will continue throughout 2023. So, make sure you watch these brand-new movies out on DVD…

1.) Hamnet

William Shakespeare (Paul Mescal) falls for the free-spirited Agnes (Jessie Buckley). Their whirlwind romance leads to marriage and three children, but as Will's theatrical ambitions draw him to London, Agnes remains behind to manage the household. When tragedy strikes, their bond is deeply tested - but through grief and resilience, their journey inspires the creation of Shakespeare's timeless masterpiece, Hamlet.

2.) Marty Supreme

Timothée Chalamet is Marty Mauser, a silver-tongues hustler with a dream that no one respects: to become the world champion table tennis player. Hopping from one scheme to the next, Marty goes to hell and back in pursuit of greatness, journeying from the Lower East Side to London, Paris, Tokyo, the Great Pyramids, and back with a trail of scorned lovers, business moguls, and mobsters hot on his tail.

3.) One Battle After Another

Washed-up revolutionary Bob (Leonardo DiCaprio) exists in a state of stoned paranoia, surviving off-grid with his daughter, Willa (Chase Infiniti). When his evil nemesis Colonel Steven J. Lockjaw (Sean Penn) resurfaces after 16 years, they must face Bob's past and run for the future.

4.) Bugonia

A wildly entertaining psychological thriller, the film follows two conspiracy-obsessed young men who kidnap a powerful CEO they believe is an alien out to destroy humanity. What begins as a paranoid act spirals into a battle of delusions and control - one as viscerally unpredictable as it is provocative.

5.) The Choral

As WW1 rages on, the Choral Society in a small English town has lost most of its men to the army. The Choral's committee is determined to press ahead with new recruits. They engage a driven new chorus master, Dr. Henry Guthrie (Ralph Fiennes) - recently returned from a career in Germany. As conscription papers start to arrive, the community discovers that the best response to the war is to make music together.

6.) 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple

In a continuation of the epic story, Dr. Kelson (Ralph Fiennes) finds himself in a shocking new relationship - with consequences that could change the world as they know it - and Spike's (Alfie Williams) encounter with Jimmy Crystal (Jack O'Connell) becomes a nightmare he can't escape. In the world of The Bone Temple, the infected are no longer the greatest threat to survival - the inhumanity of the survivors can be stranger and more terrifying.

7.) Wuthering Heights

A bold and original reimagining of one of the greatest love stories of all time, Emerald Fennell's Wuthering Heights stars Margot Robbie as Cathy and Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff, whose forbidden passion for one another turns from romantic to intoxicating in an epic tale of lust, love and madness.

8.) Zootopia 2

Rookie cops Judy Hopps (voice of Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (voice of Jason Bateman) find themselves on the twisting trail of a great mystery when Gary De'Snake (voice of Ke Huy Quan) arrives in Zootroplis and turns the animal metropolis upside down. To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before.
