But their friendship turns into a rivalry as Sooraj finds out that the girl Raja has been teasing is none other than Sapna. Raja tells Sooraj that his intention to get married to Sapna & also that he comes from a very affluent family. But Sooraj does not believe him until Raja tells him that his father owns a haveli in town & his mother's name is Savitri Devi. As Sooraj tells his father - his father takes a vow of not telling the truth to his mother. Sooraj keeps his silence never saying a word to his mother. One day in a party he hears his mother saying that she has only one son-Raja. He plays a tune that she used to sing to Raja when he was a child & leaves angry.
