Synopsis:
Shankarnarayan is a soft and kind person who runs a taxi and educates his niece and nephew Nandini and Pradeep. Ganesh an orphan stays with them. The state Governor's daughter Pallavi, Nandini's friend loves Shankar. Nandini loved Ganesh, so Shankar gets them married. Sneha takes Ganesh her nephew. Pallavi asks Shankar the reason for keeping quiet. Then Valmiki tells them that Shankarnarayan known as "INDRA" was a Zamindar. The village people treated him like god. In the same village lived another Zamindar family of Shivnath, his son Veershankarnath and four brothers, daughter Sneha. These two families were enemies.
Indra wished to construct a dam but the land for dam to be constructed belongs to Veershankarnath's family. Indra wants to buy that land at any cost for the welfare of village. Veershankar wanted Indra's property in return for their land and Sneha wanted Indra to marry her. Veershankar's brothers accidentally kill Indra's sister and brother-in-law instead of Indra. In anger Indra kills Veershankar brothers, at this Sneha is angry. Indra leaves the village with his niece and nephew and settles in Varanasi.
