I think Josh Hartnett carried this film all the way through, without his acting skills i would have struggled to keep watching. There seem to be too many characters with hard to remember names which you have little information about, so when a 'link' is revealed, you struggle to remember who the guy was and in what way he was associated to the other guy if you get my meaning. i was looking forward to this film as a Josh and Scarlett fan, but unfortuantely it didn't live up to my expectations.

i think its fair to say that if you read the book then go watch the movie you've spoilt it for yourself as the way you imagined people and places may not be as they are depicted on film. if you take the book out of the equation this is a fantastic movie with great twists and turns and fantastic acting from Tom Hanks, as always. as book to movies go, i think the movie does the book justice.

i'm not always a fan of these types of films but i must say that i found myself enjoying this one. the ending is predictable but its full of laughs, although towards the end i found the arrogance of vivica fox's character rather annoying but carmen electra is a minx as always. all three girls make this funny and entertaining and something every woman can relate to and have a good giggle about.

i absoloutely LOVE this film! it is such a well rounded movie, there are performances to make you laugh, make you cry and you can relate to each character the whole way through. fantastic acting from matt damon, ben affleck, minnie driver and robin williams. but, of course, robin williams and matt damon make this film as special as it is, the relationship which develops between these two men is completely realistic and robin williams does a very good transition here from funny man to strong and serious as he also does in 'the night listener'. great film would recommend it to anyone. have bought this and watched it a thousand times it is that good. a real gem!
