Very strange film that has nice touches of human observations but loses its way with so many possible suspects and improbable story turns. Each solution is quashed until the last 10 minutes when a series of story unravelling unfolds. Finally the truth descends and dissolves and you wonder what else you could've done for 2 hours. Disappointing.
I watched Michael; my husband watched the musicians. We were equally impressed. Michael would have given a fantastic final show. Quite sad.
The musician lacked authenticity as his miming was poor. Very complex; didn't draw the viewer in and left my husband confused and frustrated.
A very dark insight into what might be a rural idylic village. Strict family regimes, cruelty, depravity. Sinister incidents shock and intrigue the viewer. A harrowing and unexpected "who dunnit"
