a moving and brilliantly acted ensemble. i was never sure what characters might do next but they still felt true to life. one of a few, highly recommended, recent british films. plus it features a true bobby womack classic!
a right oddity (in a good way), slow, endearing and gentle comedy, perhaps more of a straight drama than a laugh out loud comedy. still, recommended if you don't mind a slow burner.
rented this as it had great reviews in the press. sadly, we got so bored i turned it off after 45 minutes. perhaps you have to be Belgian?
stick to wallace and gromit.
i watched this mainly as i'm a big fan of michael sheen and true to form he puts in another great performance. however, the story is such a dark, depressing one that it is not an enjoyable watch. i know it's based on kw's diairies but i felt he needed more of an injection of (his) humour to make it more poignant.
