Glue: The Complete Series

Flawed plot partially saved by some good performances

(Edit) 19/01/2020

Initially your very intrigued by the plot and the characters but as the drama unfolds you find yourself disengaging from the narrative. There are some charismatic performances Ruth (Yasmin Paige) and Tina (Charlotte Spencer) that keep you watching but ultimately the holes in the plot and repetitive cinematography (lot's of walking through fields) take there toll on your enjoyment.

It's not terrible though !

Clique: Series 1

Interesting series with lots of plot twists

(Edit) 04/01/2020

I enjoyed this series with it's many plot twists - as soon as you thought you'd figured it out you got another twist !

Decent acting from a young and attractive cast - where are all the normal people !

The only annoying thing was the blurry camera work during action scenes - I'm guessing this was made on a budget !

Terminator Genisys

Terrible Movie

(Edit) 23/03/2016

I had heard this movie was bad but as I am an Arnie fan, thought I'd give it a go. It is a very poor movie - really just a copy of story themes from the other movies in the franchise but not made with any conviction or production values.

The Painted Veil

Great movie with convincing characters.

(Edit) 21/01/2015

I love this movie. It looks amazing with the fabulous cinematography and wonderful mountains backdrop but it's also just a great story with convincing characters. It's not overly sentimental as a romantic drama which is really refreshing and makes it feel more real. I like the 1920's China / Colonial political backdrop too as I've not seen many movies covering this !
