A good film that shows the best of what was Ealing Studios. In a way, after seeing the film, made me miss what we had all those years ago. The magical script, even though a bit cringe worthy in some places, really adds to the clever story line.
If not a fan of 'classic british' films - then maybe not a good one to start off with - but if you have never seen many Alec Guinness films apart from Star Wars or lady killers.. then watch this. Really does show what a talented actor he was.
Sad to see a film idea that provoked thoughts and pushed boundaries of horror concepts, decline into a weak formula.
Even though horror film lovers would still enjoy some of the scenes, i can't help but think that this film is just killing of the franchise of Saw.
Saw 1 and 2 really did push the story along - reminded me of how Scream 1 and 2 was.
Saw 3; definitely the weakest of the three films, and many times it had to revert to basic gore and shock values to try and keep you interested. Yet seeing past that, if you just want a visual shock fest, then it won't fully disappoint.
