Subway

Don't Bother To Rent

(Edit) 25/09/2010

This is the edited version, cut from 104 mins down to 98 mins.

In addition, the American accented English dubbing is dreadful.

Stick with the Channel 4 broadcast from 1987 for the uncut version if you still have on VHS (French with subtitles) or watch this in French with subtitles if you don't.

No Place Like Home: Series 1

Rent This!

(Edit) 12/11/2010

Chintzy, middle class and ever so proper!

The way sitcoms used to be made and funnier now to watch with hindsight than it was at the time of production.

Big Brother's Big DVD the Best Bits: 2000-2010

Don't Bother To Rent

(Edit) 18/09/2010

A complete disappointment.

The 'Best Bits' comprise clips from all the years that last between one minute and five minutes per year.

There are also three full episodes from 2004, 2008 and 2010 which is too recent.

Channel 4 have cobbled this together in a hurry and it shows.

The New Avengers

If These Episodes Could Speak...........

(Edit) 25/08/2010

..... they would shout "PLEASE RE-MASTER US!!!!!!!!!"

Un-balanced colour, scratches and sparkle plus a picture that judders and ripples make these a poor release.

The Avengers: Series 4

RENT THIS!

(Edit) 10/08/2010

This is by far the best release available due to excellent re-mastering.

Disc One also includes the episode of Armchair Theatre that brought Diana Rigg to the attention of the production team.

In addition a recorded telephone intervew with Elizabeth Sheperd who was cast as Emma Peel before Diana Rigg..............
