This film is a bit mafia styled. My dad would like the violent bits. I was more drawn to the 60s/70s nostalgia and Mesrine and his relationships with friends & relatives, which are a bit raw too. Worth a look but didn't grab me.

If you like Russell, you'll like the film. The story is quite tense and Russell gets duffed up a fair bit trying to get down to the criminal underbelly for the help he needs. Nice twist at the end.

I found the film disturbing for the first 1/2 hour and nearly switched it off - don't be put off! It improves and you really get drawn into the story.

Of course, like half the films I rent, it was on tele the next week.

This was a really positive film with a human story, not too political but enough to make you clench your teeth occasionally.

I found the characters mostly believable.
