Top 8 New DVD Releases UK List

The UK has seen a whole host of exciting new movies on DVD at the beginning of the year and will continue throughout 2023. So, make sure you watch these brand-new movies out on DVD…

1.) Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves

A charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers undertake an epic heist to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people...

2.) The Super Mario Bros. Movie

The movie tells the story of two Brooklyn plumbers who are brothers and best friends: Mario, the brave one with the "let's-a go" attitude, and the perpetually anxious Luigi, who would prefer to go nowhere. We open with the Super Mario Brothers reckoning with their struggling plumbing business, and wind up in a whirlwind adventure through Mushrooms Kingdom. Through their journey, we meet a cast of familiar, lovable characters, ultimately uniting together to defeat the power-hungry villain, Bowser.

3.) Renfield

Nicholas Hoult stars as Renfield, the tortured aide to history's most narcissistic boss: Dracula (Nicolas Cage). For centuries, Renfield has slavishly served Dracula by procuring his master's prey and doing his every bidding, no matter how debased. But now, Renfield is ready to look for a new life outside the shadow of The Prince of Darkness, if only he can figure out how to end the toxic, codependent relationship...

4.) Avatar: The Way of Water

Avatar: The Way of Water reaches new heights and explores undiscovered depths as James Cameron returns to the world of Pandora in this emotionally packed action adventure. Set more than a decade after events of the first film, this breathtaking new movie launches the story of the Sully family and introduces audiences to the majestic ocean tulkun.

5.) John Wick: Chapter 4

John Wick (Keanu Reeves) uncovers a path to defeating The High Table. But before he can earn his freedom, Wick must face off against a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe, and forces that turn old friends into foes.

6.) Hypnotic

Determined to find his missing daughter (Hala Finley), Austin detective Danny Rourke (Ben Affleck) finds himself spiraling down a rabbit hole investigating a series of reality-bending crimes where he will ultimately call into question his most basic assumptions about everything and everyone in his world. Aided by Diana Cruz (Alice Braga), a gifted psychic, Rourke simultaneously pursues and is pursued by a lethal specter - the one man he believes holds the key to finding the missing girl - only to discover more than he ever bargained for.

7.) Cocaine Bear

Inspired by the 1985 true story of a drug runner's plane crash, missing cocaine, and the black bear that ate it, this wild dark comedy finds an oddball group of cops, criminals, tourists and teens converging in a Georgia forest where a 500-pound apex predator has ingested a staggering amount of cocaine and gone on a coke-fueled rampage for more blow - and blood.

8.) The Three Musketeers: D'Artagnan

D'Artagnan (François Civil), a spirited young man, is left for dead after trying to save a young woman from being kidnapped. When he arrives in Paris, he tries by all means to find his attackers. He is unaware that his quest will lead him to the heart of a real war where the future of France is at stake. Allied with Athos (Vincent Cassel), Porthos (Pio Marmaï) and Aramis (Romain Duris), three musketeers of the King (Louis Garrel) with an audacious contempt for danger, D'Artagnan faces the dark machinations of the Cardinal of Richelieu (Eric Ruf).

But it is when he falls madly in love with Constance Bonacieux (Lyna Khoudri), the Queen's confidante, that d'Artagnan truly puts himself in danger. For it is this passion that leads him into the wake of the one who becomes his mortal enemy: Milady de Winter (Eva Green).
