This film is a unique and extraordinary response to the catastrophic events in New York City that shook the world on September 11, 2001. producer Alain Brigand invited 11 renowned international directors to look towards their own cultures, their own memories, their own stories and their own language, and create a film lasting eleven minutes, nine seconds and one frame - 11'09''O1 - around September 11 and its consequences. The thought-provoking results - made with complete freedom of expression and in a spirit of complete equality - cover a diverse range of sensibilities and viewpoints and testify to the resonance of the event throughout the world

An International Perspective on 9.11 - 11'09''1: September 11 review by CP Customer

Spoiler Alert
09/09/2013

We all know we're not the centre of the universe. This film shows it. We have 11 interpretations of 9.11 and guess what,N.Y isn't the focus or not always.

The directors are international with their own and separate stories, some factual, some imagined, some humourous, some tragic, the quality variable but still gripping. I have my favs. but to tell wd. be to spoil but I'd say this is one of the most moving films I've ever watched and that comes with some of the most quirky takes on what others were doing on 9.11. Not all glued to the screen that's for sure.
