When Baiju Bawra goes to Delhi to prove his genius, one of the Nine Gems of Emperor Akbar's sixteenth century court, Tansen, feels his position is threatened. So Tansen challenges him to a musical duel. The rivalry between the pair is fuelled further, as Baiju knows his father was killed by Tansens guards.
