Rent Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (BLU-RAY) (2006)

Sacha Baron Cohen, the star and creator of Channel 4's wildly popular Da Ali G Show, brings his truly original Kazakh character Borat Sagdiyev to the big screen for the first time. With a camera crew in tow and armed with a jar of gypsy tears "for protection," Kazakhstan's fourth most famous celebrity travels to the US and A to make a documentary. As he zigzags across the country, loveable Borat meets real people in real situations - with hilarious consequences.

A let down...

I wasn't sure whether I would like this film as I wasn't a great fan of the sketch from the TV shows. I was right! There were a few funny bits but for the majority I found it silly, way over the top and huge let down. I would only recommend this if you are a real fan of Borat, if you are unsure about the character I would say you wouldn't get much out of it.

Horrid racist film.

Nothing funny about this film. Biggist joke seems to be how backward and uncouth Kazakhastanis are. Perhaps Baron cohen should look in the mirror and see a jew in his determination to laugh at antisemitism can be sickeningly racist himself.

Borat was Boring

Borat was one of the most stupid, overdone, over-acted OBVIOUS pointless films I have ever seen. I wanted to place the person who recommended it front of the screen and force them to watch it until the rest of their mental resources were completely exhausted.
