Life is changing for the villagers in Ormston - in the fourth series of this popular countryside drama.
While Dr. Tom Gilder is making peace with his father, Arthur, in New Zealand Dr. Donald Newman and Deborah are left running the Ormston Memorial Hospital. A new face arrives in Ormston in the form of Dr. Nick Logan who is young, good looking and sets feathers flying from the outset, when he crashes into the pub on his motorbike.
When Deborah's sister Nancy arrives, supposedly to help Deborah with the children, it soon becomes apparent she has other plans. Tragedy strikes but the village pulls together and gets through the anguish, dealing with bereavement, near fatal accidents, a duel at dawn, romance and treachery as only Ormston folk can.
