Better than most remakes

I expected this to be a pretty naf remake of the original - but it's actually quite good. Some well known faces add to the quality acting by the kids, and it all goes to make it a quite an enjoyable watch.

I saw this movie with my daughter, having seen the original film, and I half expected a frame by frame remake, but i was suprised by the freshness of the remake! Johnny Depp, must have loved this part, as you can see by his acting! He has made Willy Wonka, an eccentric, but slightly disturbed, genius, discreetly digging at the kids, especially Mike TV!! Great film for the family, recommended!

Johnny Depp plays a very good part in this film. This version is better than the old. One of the best films I have watched in the last year.

Great film for the whole family

This visually stunning film is fabulous fun for the whole family. I watched it with my daughter (just 4 years old) and my son (6) and husband and we all really enjoyed it. The acting is superb and Johnny Depp gives a wonderful performance as the eccentric Willy Wonka. It is funny, fresh and original, while staying true to the original Dahl story. I recommend it for the whole family.

The whole family enjoyed this film. It is a good updated version of what I remeber from my own childhood and they haven't tried to make it too different from the original.
Lots of colour and music and lessons for the little ones to learn from!!
