Dark humour and a great story.

Clay Birdwell is a regular guy who hates his monotonous small town life in Montana, although in the space of one afternoon all that changes. While out target shooting with his best friend Earl, his friend reveals that he knows Clay has been having an affair with his wife. In an act of revenge Earl commits suicide in front of Clay attempting to make his suicide look like murder and frame Clay for his death. When Clay covers up the evidence to make Earl's death look like suicide, a chain of further terrible killings is sparked as a charismatic cowboy serial killer named Lester Long senses an opportunity. More dead bodies start appearing and, unfortunately all of them, right under Clay's nose and it's not long before the FBI arrive on the scene. Overall, 'Clay Pigeons' is a very well written black comedy thriller which has plenty of exciting plot twists and some great acting from Vince Vaughn and Joaquin Phoenix. If you're a fan of films like 'Fargo' and 'Red Rock West' then this will be right up your street.
