A cleverly written comedy crime caper

The plot of 'Crime Spree' is quite simple; six bumbling French crooks are sent to Chicago to steal some jewellery, end up going to the wrong house and robbing the local mafia boss. But what makes Crime Spree special is the endearing nature of the cast; you'll soon find yourself rooting for this inept bunch of crooks and hoping that they can find a way out of the mess they've created. Harvey Keitel is a great in his role as the mafia boss and the French cast lead by Gerard Depardieu play very well off each other. Packed with some great comic moments and a great storyline, 'Crime Spree' is well worth a look.
