Rent Fighting (2009)

Small-town boy Shawn MacArthur (Channing Tatum) has come to New York City with nothing. Barely earning a living selling counterfeit goods on the streets, his luck changes when scam artist Harvey Boarden (Terrence Howard). As Shawn's manager, Harvey introduces him to the corrupt bare-knuckle circuit, where rich men bet on disposable pawns. Almost overnight, he becomes a star brawler, taking down professional boxers, mixed martial arts champs and ultimate fighters in a series of staggeringly intense bouts.

For Knuckleheads

With the advent of UFC and its popularity, here comes the movie about fighting and little else. Perhaps Montiel hoped this would spark a new trend similar to kung fu movies but Fighting fails to land a knockout blow. It's all rather tiresome and full of muscle bound idiots who you don't care for at all. While I wasn't expecting another classic like Fincher's Fight Club, this film attempts to say nothing worthwhile at all.
