In August 2008, amid the war between Russia and Georgia in South Ossetia American reporter Thomas Anders (Rupert Friend) and his cameraman (Richard Coyle) try to document the escalating conflict. But when Thomas falls for a young Georgian girl (Emmanuelle Chriqui) he realises that sometimes you can't just stand by and do nothing.
