When his father dies, battle-scarred war photographer Paul Prior (Matthew MacFadyen) returns to the remote community he left 17 years ago. Visiting his childhood home, he chances upon 16 year old Celia, who is at once besotted by Paul's worldliness. Though forbidden from seeing each other by their families, the two meet in secret... until Celia goes missing. Prime suspect in her disappearance, Paul becomes a target for the township's violent threats until the harrowing truth about his past emerges... a past he would rather forget.
