Synopsis:
Cliff (Steve Zahn) and Cydney (Milla Jovovich) are an adventurous young couple celebrating their honeymoon by backpacking to one of the most beautiful and remote beaches in Hawaii. Hiking the wild, secluded trails, they believe they've found paradise. But when the pair come across a group of frightened hikers discussing the horrifying murder of another newlywed couple on the islands, they begin to question whether they should turn back. When they decide to join up with two other couples, things begin to go terrifyingly wrong. Far from civilization or rescue, everyone begins to look like a threat and nobody knows who to trust.
Paradise becomes hell on earth as a brutal battle for survival begins...

Just Get Faraway From This - A Perfect Getaway review by CP Customer

Spoiler Alert
22/01/2010

A Perfect Getaway tries to be clever with its formula and various twists, throwing red herrings at you from the off, as each couple debates who the murderers could be. Backpackers in the wilderness haunted by killers unknown is not the most original premise to sell a film. Even though the backdrop is the beautiful Pacific Ocean, there’s little else to demand your interest. Most viewers will spot the guilty culprits early on and whether you can maintain interest for the distant conclusion to arrive is a true test of patience. This really needed some editing and why Twohy shoots flashback sequences in a stark blue style that dominated Cameron’s Terminator 2 I’ll never know. The characters are clichéd and you just don’t care about their fate or justification. This went straight to DVD for a good reason.
