Art collector James Stewart charts a private 747 from Washington DC to Palm Beach. Onboard are his friends, family and a fortune in art work. Midway, the plane is hijacked and crashes into the Bermuda Triangle. Instead of filling up with water, the plane seems intact, and sinks 100 feet below, coming to rest on a crumbling ledge. The Navy is alerted and begin a rescue operation. The movie is greatly helped with the realistic portrayal of Navy rescue procedures.
