December 21st 2012 could be a cataclysmic day for Planet Earth when life on Earth might end. This is the last day in the long count Mayan calendar and a whole host of doomsday scenarios are examined here by a number of scientists and physicists. A burst of electromagnetic radiation from the Sun might have the power to trigger catastrophic earthquakes, violent hurricanes, super volcanic eruptions and mega tsunamis or take out the satellite network and destroy the National Grid. The devastating result would cause society to break down and the result would be anarchy.
