Aux Petits Bonheurs (1994)

This romantic comedy farce is one of French director Michel Deville's more accessible films. Three middle-aged couples in various stages of romantic disillusionment share a large country house: Pierre (André Dussollier) is faithful to Ariane (Nicole Garcia),but she is having an affair with Matthieu (Francois Marthouret),who is married to Sabine (Michèle Laroque). In the absence of her husband Bertrand (Patrick Chesnais),Lena (Hanna Schygulla) has taken a young lover,Marc (Xavier Beauvois). Into this tangled situation enters Helene (Anémone),looking for her lover of 25 years ago,whom she last saw in this very house.
