- From acclaimed director Bernardo Betolucci comes a breathtaking film rich in passion, desire and intrigue. Shadurai is running from her past. After her husband is arrested for anti-government demonstrations in Africa, she flees to an enchanting villa in Rome where she gains employment working for an eccentric recluse Mr. Kinsky soon becomes obsessed with Shandurai and the two find themselves in a web of attraction and denial, of awakening and discovery. But in exchange for her love, Shandurai asks one request of Kinsky - a request so powerful it means he would ask himself the ultimate question, "How far would you go for passion?"
