Three managers and a caretaker twice, a perfect start and the best young player in the Championship are only part of the ingredients of this incredible tale! Initially there was no hangover from the Wembley Play-off Final defeat to West Ham as the Seasiders swept away all comers. Phenomenal performances against Leeds United, Ipswich Town and Middlesbrough at Bloomfield Road suggested a return to the Premier League was on the cards as Tom Ince scored goals for fun. But with the departure of Ian Holloway and his successor, Michael Appleton, it was Paul Ince who had to steer the club to safety and Blackpool finished the season like they started it.
