Will Hawkins (A.J. Draven) is a laid back university student who enjoys a quiet lifestyle with his small group of friends. Though he practices martial arts, including Tai-Chi, Will renounces all violence due to his difficult childhood and memories of abuse. Unfortunately for Will, however, everything he knows is about to change, as he is thrown into a compromising situation which tests the very values that define him. A vampire clan has been living near the campus and searching for fresh blood. Coven leader Julian (Tony Todd) looks to pass his throne to a worthy successor. In order to pass his coveted title, one of the vampires in his coven must fight and kill a sentry (a member of an elite order of vampire hunters). As the legend holds, sentries have fought vampires for millennia, protecting the world and maintaining a necessary balance between good and evil.
