As the dust settles from the battle in in the Grankingdom, Shu and his friends set off to hire an informant to help them in their search for the mysterious Extra Seven. Its not going to be easy as they discover the key informant, Homeron was killed in the battle with the Grankingdom. In order to pay for an alternative informant Shu takes on the job of defeating a dangerous monster called the Gaigaurus for a reward - and this time he doesn't have his friends to help him! However, the woman that hired Shu for this grizzly task is not all that she seems...Continuing upon their journey, the group find Jibral's scattered army being attacked.
