Synopsis:
Since the dawn of rock n' roll, record labels have become as famous for making stars and creating genres as the stars have themselves. The 'Blue Note' label is one of the shining examples of this. Credited with shaping the course of jazz, swing, and blues music, the Blue Note released classic albums by such luminaries as John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, and Miles Davis. This documentary tracks the creation and history of this legendary record label, and features many of the stars on their roster in interviews.
