February 1942. The outcome of the war is in the balance. Harris (John Thaw) is appointed Commander in Chief of RAF Bomber Command. Fierce and uncompromising, he has a vision for smashing Hitler's Germany within a year. He will forge one of the most powerful bomber fleets ever assembled and use it to obliterate the industrial cities of Nazi Germany. The death toll among German civilians will be horrendous. But the war will be won...
