- Even though his cancer's in remission, chemistry teacher-turned-meth maker Walter White (Bryan Cranston) still can't catch a break. His wife (Anna Gunn) has filed for divorce, his DEA agent brother-in-law (Dean Norris) is out to bust him and a Mexican cartel just wants him dead. But with his family's future still at stake Walt cooks up a deal that will make him a fortune, a scheme with a terrible price.

I think I'm addicted to this great, unmissable TV series! - Breaking Bad: Series 3 review by RP
Walt's misadventures continue - with his marriage on the rocks, he gets deeper and deeper into high volume drug manufacturing.
In this series, each episode starts with a flashback that gives context to earlier events - a nice touch that shows how the characters and events are intertwined.
Although the episodes here are rated certificate 15, be in no doubt that there is some serious violence which if not shown in close-up detail is pretty grim even at a distance - the actions of and the demise of Tuco's cousins perhaps being the prime example.
This is really great stuff. I watched the entire 13 episodes in three sittings - I'm addicted, and I've already ordered up Seasons 4 and 5.
5/5 stars. Great, unmissable TV.

Series 3 oif a great, classic US TV show - Breaking Bad: Series 3 review by PV
Breaking Bad is one of the best dramas I have watched on TV for years - way superior than the soapy girly diversity-token trash on UK TV.
The scenes are so original and visually striking - the twists genuinely unexpected. The writing and dialogue razor-sharp.
I am less keen on the soapy family drama subplots BUT thankfully they take up a small minority of time. Probably my favourite Breaking Bad series of the three I have watched is the first one - when episodes were an hour. But series 2 and 3 are still 5 star TV dramas! The first was sublime, however, and should have won every award going.
Something in part 3 really annoyed me (misinformation maybe or historical inaccuracy) but I can't remember what it is now.
I recommend watching the extra features too, esp the one about the pizza!
Hugely enjoyable TV drama. Better than anything made by the BBC (the only decent exciting drama on the BBC is produced by private production companies and bought in, like Peaky Blinders or The Night Manager.
Great, classic TV. Watch it.
