This series celebrates the workhorse of the modern railway in a series that moves around Britain region-by-region, each video concentrating on the diesel heritage of a different area. Throughout the series, footage highlights the glorious sights and sounds of diesels at work. From the south coast to the Highlands of Scotland, and from Wales to England's east coast, we tour the land, numerous classes working freight and passenger turns, including military and nuclear transports, and fully enjoy the Glory Days of Diesel. This fabulous program, celebrates the might of diesel, an often overlooked part of British rail heritage Starting on Anglesea with nuclear trains, we cover the Principality from top to toe, ending in Pembrokeshire. The Welsh railways have always been famous for the vast quantities of coal hauled down the Valleys to the industrial areas of South Wales and these are covered in depth. Dedicated diesel types were produced from the British Railways' First Generation classes for this traffic.
