This taut, industrial espionage thriller is set in the world of Sports Car racing and tells the story of an attempt to headhunt an Italian car designer, which ends in theft, corruption and murder. Warren Ingram (James Robertson Justice) hires O'Donovan (Stanley Baker) to persuade a top Italian car designer to join his company. When the plan fails O'Donovan breaks into the Italian factory and steals the blueprints for a new fuel intake system which results in a guard being fatally shot. O'Donovan goes into hiding while Ingram decides the best way to get him out of Italy. In an attempt to get O'Donovan over the border into Switzerland Ingram unites him with his racing team led by ambitious driver Bill Fraser (Anthony Steel). However Fraser's girlfriend (Odile Versois) discovers the plan and attempts to thwart Ingram with dramatic consequences. - Actors:
