Dana Carvey, Valeria Golino, James Earl Jones, Kevin Pollak and Michael Murphy star in the brightest comedy in years! Private investigator M.L. Pogue has developed a rare case of amnesia that causes him to forget all the details of his life each time he falls asleep. But that's not his only problem. He's also the key witness in the murder trial of a dangerous mobster - and he can't remember the guy, the crime or even his own name! Pogue attempts to put the pieces of the case - and his life - back in order with the help of a tape recorder and an eye-patched pooch.
