Rent Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion (2006 - 2008)

Code Geass is a Japanese animated series about a resistance movement that takes place in Japan when a country called Britannia invades. The series follows Lelouch, a prince of Britannia who was moved to Japan although he vows to get revenge against the Britannia empire due to the murder of his mother and the effects it had on his sister. He decides to join a resistance movement to defeat the emperor of Britannia, a man who also happens to be his father, and to find the man who killed his mother all those years ago.
