Synopsis:
When an artist has made as many truly great albums as David Bowie, there will always be disagreement over which is their very finest. So while the selection of Bowie's iconic 1976 LP, 'Station to Station', does not feature as first choice for every fan of the man, it certainly inspires many, who hear it as the essential bridge between his then just completed 'Plastic Soul' phase and his 'Berlin Trilogy' just around the corner. This film traces the journey from the end of Bowie's chameleon era (Ziggy, Aladdin Sane, Diamond Dogs) to the release of 'Station to Station' in early 1976 - and in so doing examines quite how this extraordinary set of songs ever came about.
Featuring rare performance footage, previously unseen archive material, exclusive and period interviews, contributions for those around Bowie at the time and from the finest writers and experts, plus seldom seen photos, news reports, location shoots and a host of other features.
