Drawing from unique sources this programme builds a picture of the shy teenager growing into the beautiful and confident princess the world grew to love. Even though she was assailed by personal doubts and uncertainties, she still achieved great good for her family and the charities she worked so hard to support. Rivalry and jealousy marred her relationship with the royal family but Diana went on to create her own style of monarchy as the Queen of People's Hearts.
Beautiful and glamorous as she was, it was Diana's caring nature that made her so incredibly popular throughout the world. This programmes seeks to give a balanced view of Diana with interviews from royal experts. This programme was made immediately after her divorce from Prince Charles in 1996.
