- Struggling black comic Lance Barton (Chris Rock) knows what it's like to die on stage. But when his life takes an unexpected turn - straight to heaven - Lance is sure there's been a mistake. Miraculously, he's right! An angel tells Lance he was taken prematurely but assures him he can be returned to Earth - in the aged body of a ruthless white billionaire. In this improbable reincarnation, Lance begins a hilarious quest to realise his showbiz dream and, along the way, discovers the person he never imagined he could be.

Not funny. - Down to Earth review by CP Customer
I like Chris Rock, as a stand-up comic he's fearless and very, very funny. What's sad is that as a comedy actor he makes the most mainstream, audience friendly, average films going, and what's even more sad is that they ain't very funny and this is no exception. The story isn't that interesting, there's very few laughs and even for a Chris Rock fan a wasted rental.
