- All of New Orleans is horrified when popular local talk show hostess Sandralee Dawson is slashed and left for dead. But none are more determined to solve the crime than Investigator Bobby Marsh (Phillip Michael Thomas) and his lover, assistant District Attorney Lynne Jacobi (Phylicia Rashad). The media sensation this crime has caused has put Lynne in the limelight. She's in line for a promotion, and solving the case quickly and cleanly will win it for her. Bobby has his own suspicions about the case. Their loyalty and respect for one another quickly disintegrate into suspicion and betrayal as each gets closer to the truth...
