For the first time: all 12 episodes of the classic ITV children's drama series, first shown in 1977-1978. When the Carter family are evicted from their garage business by a grasping landlord they decide to run their local preservation steam railway, setting up home in the derelict Flockton station. With dad Bob now the driver of a restored 1934 GWR engine 'Flockton Flyer', it's full steam ahead for fun, adventure and drama. Playing the Carter family are David Neal, Sheila Fearn, Peter Duncan and Gwyneth Strong. An array of guest stars includes Patrick Mower (Emmerdale, Target), Gerald Harper (Hadleigh, Adam Adamant Lives!) and a young Phil Daniels (EastEnders, Quadrophenia). The series was filmed against the beautiful, summery backdrop of the West Somerset preservation steam railway.
