Two hundred million years ago there was an extraordinary development in the history of life: a group of reptiles made a giant leap into the skies the pterosaurs. Travelling to locations around the world, and with the help of a team of scientists, Attenborough unravels one of palaeontology's enduring mysteries and discovers how the marvel of pterosaur flight has evolutionary echoes that resonate today. This visually stunning film combines new finds and the latest research with cutting-edge technology and CGI to bring the story of giant flying monsters and their prehistoric world to life.
It is a gamble doing computer graphics for natural history as it could be either unbelievable or too childish. I thought it was great. I don't have 3-D, and I imagine that would be even better, in 2-D just to imagine the colossal size of some of the flying lizards is wonderful.
