On the surface, Nancy Walsh's life seems to hold no fears: a vivacious 18-year-old, she lives happily with her loving family. If Nancy (Tracey Gold) feels she has no control over her life, however, she still has control over her body - a decision taken to the point of obsession as she falls prey to the terrible slimming disease, anorexia. her shocked family stand by in desperation as they watch their beloved Nancy starves herself to the point of death. But the dramatic confrontation between Nancy and her family proves to be a dramatic turning point in the crisis.
