This is not just another romantic comedy. This one will really make you laugh all the way. One of the funniest around at the moment, but will also have you sitting on the end of your seat. And also dying for a romance in a foreign country. Definately a must see !. A good all rounder which you can sit and watch with your partner to.

Reliably Rude Russell Rom Com - Forgetting Sarah Marshall review by CP Customer

You know what you're in for with Forgetting Sarah Marshall. It's a reliable movie. It's a rude, crude and awkward comedy. Rent this movie with your girlfriend, get some takeaway, snuggle up and get ready for a giggle. It won’t win Oscars and it won’t surprise you but it will offer a good night's entertainment. I liked that the actor playing the central character was an average Joe, making it possible to empathise and relate to the situation. It was amusing to see Russell Brand as an actor. At first I thought he seemed slightly subdued but then it became more apparent that he was actually trying to 'act' as the Russell Brand we know instead of just being himself. He wasn't overly convincing but he did offer some good laughs to paper over his inexperienced cracks. If you want fun then don't forget Sarah Marshall.

When musician Peter is dumped by Sarah Marshall his girlfriend of five years, and star of a hit TV crime drama he sinks into a pit of depression. Working as a musical score writer for the very TV show Sarah stars in, he spends his working day having to write and perform music in front of a huge screen on to which his actress ex-girlfriend is projected. Peter takes the advice of his half-brother and decides to get away and take a vacation to Hawaii, the very location where he often told Sarah of his dream to visit. On his arrival in Hawaii Peter’s shocked to discover Sarah and her new lover, the rock star Aldous Snow, staying in the very same hotel and stuck in the awkward situation of thinking that if he left it would look suspiciously like he had intentionally planned to follow Sarah to the same resort, he decides to stick it out and stay. Now trapped in a holiday resort and unable to mix with other guests Peter is befriended by members of the hotel staff and island locals and slowly begins to find himself and get over his ex. While not the funniest of films ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’ has a great story which is very similar in tone to ‘The 40 Year Old Virgin’ in which a man goes against taking the easy route and makes a change for the better in his life. The story is well written, funny and insightful, and the whole cast is superb. Even though Russell Brand is essentially playing a version of himself in the movie, he is pretty good and the odd relationship that develops between Peter and Aldous as the film progresses in which both men seem to begin to almost like and respect each other adds another dimension to the film. Overall, this is a great film and pretty much a must have rental.
