In this programme Marc Ponsot, one of the top carp anglers in France, takes Alan Taylor and friends to the famous River Seine, where some of the worlds biggest carp have been caught. They fish one of the many barrages, which area a main feature of this "Royal" river, a few kilometres north of Fontainbleau. Marc demonstrates the methods which have proved so successful for him in the past when has caught many huge carp to 57 pounds (26 kilos) from the river. Location of fish, prebaiting, groundbaiting and many other methods are proven to work by the capture of several carp including three over 20 pounds (14 kilos).
